What is Cavom?

Cavom is a natural, complete, and high-quality meal for your dog. Cavom helps bring your dog into top condition and keeps it there. It contains all essential nutrients in the correct proportions, making additional supplements unnecessary. Cavom is rich in high-quality animal proteins and contains no artificial colors, flavors, or fragrances.

We produce our kibble in its purest form, without adding steam during the pressing process. We use only high-quality raw materials and add a vitamin and mineral mix that is developed and produced in-house.

Our kibble is relatively hard and beneficial for dental health. The slightly porous kibble has an open structure, allowing the natural aroma of the ingredients to be released more effectively, resulting in a highly palatable meal for your dog.

The Advantages of Cavom Pressed Kibble

Raw materials retain their nutritional value because the temperature during the pressing process remains well below 100°C. This ensures that vitamins, minerals, and other ingredients remain fully intact.
Pressed kibble is gentler on the stomach and easier to digest, as it dissolves more quickly in the stomach.
The production process uses less energy and is therefore more environmentally friendly.

The grains used are pre-treated, making them highly digestible. We use only premium fats and vegetable oils, carefully balanced to provide an optimal ratio of essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

Essential Nutrients

Cavom contains all essential nutrients in the correct proportions. Supplementing with additional vitamins or minerals is therefore unnecessary and even discouraged, as Cavom is a complete diet. Only your veterinarian may advise otherwise in specific cases.

Better Dental Health

Cavom helps maintain your dog’s dental health because the kibble is deliberately kept firm, helping to reduce tartar formation. For very young or older dogs, the kibble can easily be softened by adding a little buttermilk or water.

More Energy for Your Dog

Cavom is economical to use due to its high energy value and excellent digestibility. Your dog requires less food, resulting in less stool. Practical experience shows that Cavom can even help neglected dogs regain good condition and develop a shiny coat.

How Much Cavom Does My Dog Need?

The required amount depends on factors such as age, breed, and activity level. Physical exercise is often underestimated but is essential for your dog’s overall development and health. It is best to feed your dog based on appearance and adjust the amount as needed.

In general, working dogs require more food than companion dogs. Growing puppies and pregnant dogs need more food than average. Small-breed dogs require more food per kilogram of body weight than large-breed dogs.

Because Cavom contains only the highest quality animal proteins and no artificial colors, flavors, or fragrances, it is highly palatable for all dogs. Do not overfeed your dog; feed just enough to maintain a healthy appetite.

Advice

Always provide sufficient fresh drinking water that is not too cold.
When switching to Cavom, do so gradually over a period of approximately four days.
Cavom is a complete and balanced dog food; no additional feeding is required.

How Is Cavom Made?

After incoming inspection, raw materials are delivered by bulk trucks and stored in silos. Based on the recipe, the correct quantities of raw materials are dosed and weighed. The complete recipe is transported to one of the storage bins and then transferred to a mixer, where the in-house developed vitamin and mineral mix is added. Liquid ingredients are then added during mixing.

After the required mixing time, the mixture is transferred to a holding bin, where it rests to mature. The meal is then fed through a dosing system into the press, where it is formed into kibble.

After pressing, the kibble is visually inspected and transported to a cooler. The cooling process removes heat generated by friction during pressing, reducing the temperature to ambient levels. This is achieved using counterflow air circulation, which is filtered before being released.

The cooled kibble is passed through a vibrating rotary sieve to remove fines and small particles, then transported to finished product silos.

Upon demand, the kibble passes through another vibrating sieve and a metal detector before being packaged by an automatic filling system into bags of 2, 5, 10, and 20 kg. A palletizing system stacks the bags neatly, after which the pallets are stored in racking, awaiting order picking for customers both domestically and internationally.

What Is Good Dog Food?

Good dog food is fully balanced, natural, and composed of well-balanced ingredients that together form a high-quality diet.

A good diet has a high caloric value and relies on effective enzyme activity, which supports healthy intestinal flora and aids digestion. You can assess food quality by observing the amount fed and the volume of stool produced. High-quality food requires smaller portions and results in less stool.

Synthetic antioxidants should be used as sparingly as possible. Natural alternatives such as vitamins C and E and other natural preservatives are preferable, as they support heart and vascular health and enhance immune resistance.
